Lanternfish was designed to be extensible, and this float is our first accessory.

The float’s buoyancy is a little over half a Kg, and it buoyancy neutralizes an underwater dive light like the one pictured here. We are using a $21 Suptig diving light from Amazon. It is supposed to be rated to 45 meters, but looking at its seals it is doubtful it would get past 40-50. However given its cost, and that the Lanternfish is only being used to dive up to 10 meters, so far it seems a perfect light for our purposes.
The mount is a standard Go-Pro compatible squeeze mount – but we have not tested with go-pros yet as the Lanternfish already has a front facing camera. The design is parametric so we can easily release floats of different displacements. If this float does not have sufficient buoyancy to neutralize your camera – contact us and we will be happy to post designs with a higher float capacity.
